Workshop Offerings

To register for a workshop, use the contact link to reach out for a pre-screening and a copy of a parent pamphlet and toolkit. Workshops are offered monthly for 90 minutes and can be tailored to the needs of the participants.  Topics include managing worries, working through depression and understanding somatic experiences of stress.

Aimed at children kindergarten to grade 3, this very popular workshop helps children identify their feelings, learn how feelings look and feel, and uses nature, play and music therapies to start the journey to healing.  Each child will take home a toolkit and families will receive follow-up support to implement changes they need.

Time: One Saturday per Month, 10 am to 11:30 am

Cost: $160/session including all supplies and the registered clinical counselling followup support.

Manage My Feelings Workshop

Aimed at children grade 4 to 7, the workshop focuses on recognizing and managing big feelings such as anxiety, depression, loneliness through cognitive behavioural techniques and somatic work such as yoga and deep breathing.

Time: One Saturday per Month, 10 am to 11:30 am

Cost: $160/session including all supplies and the registered clinical counselling followup support. 

Youth with Purpose, a New Kind of Horsepower

Do you know a teen between ages of 13 to 15 who is struggling with self-esteem and self-confidence, steeped in anxiety?  Are they stuck in overwhelm with the challenges of growing up?

This 90-minute experiential learning session lead by Anita Sharma, Children’s Therapist and Linda-Ann Bowling, Horse Guided Master Facilitator and Life Coach will focus on safe ground (non-riding) activities with the horses and donkeys.  Kids will learn:

1.       How to manage and give voice to confusing emotions

2.       How to manage anxiety, sadness and depression

3.       Understand the importance of self-care and practicing some ways to get there

 

The program will be held in a natural, farm environment surrounded by the sights and sounds of the power and healing of Mother Nature – South Surrey location. 

 

The group size will be limited to 6 kids to allow personalized and hands-on interaction with the equines.

To register for the session, please use the contact link below to set-up a pre-screening and suitability session.  Please note this is a non-riding program, and no previous horse experience is required.  All participants will be required to have a parent or legal guardian sign a release waiver.

 

Cost:  $160

Further information will be available following the submission and acceptance into the program.  Note: This is an introductory session.  Participants will have the opportunity to join our longer 6-week program starting in the fall.
